Down the drain

Until today, I really thought that Itachi was going to be killed by Sasuke. Or by Naruto, I dunno. But I was hoping it would be Sasuke. Then he would no longer have a reason for living, because all his life from the age of 8(?) revolved around his brother, and if he died, what would Sasuke do?

But apparently it doesn't matter anymore. Because Itachi apparently still cares for his little brother. And the keyword is "apparently" because I haven't read the manga (and I'm still on ep. 20something, shame on me...), so I'm basing this on what I read on Naruto Hurricane. So, if Itachi still cares for his little brother and is not the cold blooded killer we think he is, the implications are potentially huge. I cringe in fear.

I desperately need to read the manga. ;_; I've been saying that for days, maybe weeks. But it's a bit hard to read it on the laptop (I'd have to download the whole thing too), and the actual physical volumes of the new saga will only be available here on February (if I'm lucky, could be March =_=). Damn.

And the fanfiction I was playing out in my head just went down the drain... =_=
