I know this series is a little old, but it's being aired now in my country for the second(?) time, daily.
I don't have the stomach to watch it. It's kinda complicated to watch it anyway; I live with my parents, I have only one TV set in the family room, and, quite frankly, if I'm going to watch it, I'd like to do it alone.
But the show it's just too damn intense to watch it on a daily basis. I have to be honest about one thing, too: the main (sometimes only) reason I (would) watch it is Beecher and Keller. There, can't say I'm not predictable. :P I haven't watched enough episodes to be able to tell what the heck happened exactly between them. All I know is that, as everything in Oz, it's tragic.
And why am I writing about this after almost a month of absence? Well, because I was zapping and I stumbled right on the laundry scene in episode II-6/14/Strange Bedfellows. I had already seen it before the first(?) time they aired it, but it still makes my heart cringe. I know their story is fucked up. I know that in Oz there isn't going to be a happy ending. You know this after watching just a few episodes. That's why I say I don't have the stomach to watch the show. It's too damn depressing. Angst without a light at the end of the tunnel was never my thing.
I was thinking now of the episode when Keller died, and how strange it was for me to watch the scene. There I was, zapping (yeah, I rarely watch Oz on purpose) and there was Beecher and Keller. And I thought to myself: "Hey, I haven't watched this in a long time. Let's see how they're doing, are they happy together?" And, BAM, the next moment Keller falls down to his death. And I was like this:
"o_o ....."
"O_O ....."
"Are they fucking kidding me?"
"o_O ... he can't be dead..."
"shit, he just DIED! Why did he have to die precisely NOW???"
It was a surreal moment for me. The scene was confusing as hell, as I didn't know anything that had happened before. I felt so depressed, so devoid of happiness and hope. It's because of what I said before, the main reason for watching the show was them. Without them, what's the point? Little did I know that this was the very last episode. I just found out a while ago, actually, when I was doing research for this post.
I remember musing about how gay people/couples on the media have the worst luck. It's like the public thrives in drama (which is sadly true, the world could use a little more happiness). I have to say, though, It's gotten better in the last few years, so there is hope.
Are you a yaoi fan who wants to watch a gay film that will make your heart warm and giddy? Then "Go Go G-Boys" is the one for you. :)

Dattebayo subs and a laugh
Really, those guys from Dattebayo subs are sadists. In their press release, they said that they will no longer release subbed Naruto episodes because people complain too much. Okay... I believed that for almost a day. Until I read the press release from Dattebayo Brasil, saying the message is a fake, as well as everything else they say about delaying or canceling. For those who can't understand a word of Portuguese, you can always try Google's translation, but it's a bit weird. :P Anyway, it says something like this:
Cheers.
EDIT (4 hours later): Naruto Shippuuden 45 was released, and they changed the title of their press release. :) Cheers to the Dattebayo Fansubs staff.
There's been a problem with the USA group (...) Whenever that happens, the American group takes the chance to mislead ignorant people or those who think are entitled to something. The message saying they won't release Naruto is fake, as is everything related to canceling. There you have it (feel free to correct my translation). Although this is probably a joke, they still have a point. Don't you hate those bitches who complain about everything and insult people? I mean, what's the point in that? If people just learned to chill, the world would be a much better place.
Cheers.
